My role at Magnolia Pearl began when I was hired as their main women’s woven CAD designer. This role quickly grew into something more as the company expanded and evolved. Like many young professionals in the creative industry, I was granted the opportunity to wear many different hats within the company. This is exceptional about MP - the room for untethered growth and a chance to try new things.

A few roles that I ran with (and even discovered) were jewelry design, PLM web management, set design, outfit styling, photography, sample overview, and many others…

In this section of my portfolio, I have highlighted the best of these roles with images and brief explanations - I believe many of the images speak for themselves as Magnolia Pearl pieces often do.

Technical Packs

A few examples of designs, their associated tech packs, and sample results.

Weekly Vision Boards

Six examples of my vision boards, presented weekly, including (but not limited to) new designs, mockups, inspiration, and ideas.

Original Jewelry Designs

Four examples of my original jewelry designs created for Magnolia Pearl. Designed, developed, and sustainably sourced by me.

A gallery of sets, designed bi-monthly for the official Magnolia Pearl clothing releases.

With 4-5 people and an evening of work, we styled and completed these sets using what had been sourced and purchased the previous week.

I assisted with backdrop design, sourcing, planning, pickup, and setup. Additionally, I helped source taxidermy, large furniture pieces, paintings, textiles, and antique styling props.

Set Design Assistance

An independant surprise project

Disco Saddle began as an idea many years ago, imagined by my boss Robin Brown. During my final month working in Texas, I decided to bring this previously theoretical idea to life. Being in Texas hill country it was easy to source a saddle from Craigslist. Then, a mirror, gloves, glue, and many late nights made it a reality.

I surprised my boss and coworkers with this project on the day of our last Texas-based photoshoot. I recruited the help of an on-site construction team and hung it from the rafters shortly before the team arrived.

The Disco Saddle now resides in the Magnolia Pearl Fredrickburg flagship store.

Styling and Outfit Coordination

Examples of outfits planned and styled by me, calling out specific release items vs. antique styling props, then organized and used for the photo shoot.

Photography and Photo Review

Examples of my photography and photo review/rating done for Magnolia Pearl photoshoots

During the photo shoots, (after set design, styling, and all outfits were ready to go) I took on the role of photo review/rating - this meant that I would star photos on an iPad in real-time based on a 1-5 star scale. Depending on photo composition, lighting, and style, they would be used for marketing, Shopify, etc. - Each star rating implied where it was meant to go. This process required uninterrupted focus and concentration during shoots.

Additionally, based on my history of photographing sets and releases for my previous employers, I was occasionally asked to be the photographer for the shoots on a need-be basis. Recently I successfully shot our August 2nd 24’ release (see below).
